Four Cities to Compete to Host 2016 Games

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced today that Chicago (USA), Tokyo (Japan), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), and Madrid (Spain) have made it on to the shortlist of cities bidding to host the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Candidate Cities were accepted unanimously from seven Applicant Cities, which also included Prague (Czech Republic), Baku (Azerbaijan) and Doha (Qatar)*. (more…)

Baseball Commissioner Allan H. Three Doubleheaders in NLA this Weekend

After having a weekend off due to Whitsuntide, the Swiss NLA league features three double headers Saturday and Sunday. In the premier matchup, the THERWIL FLYERS Flyers, (1-1), travel to Zurich to take on the BARRACUDAS, (4-2).
